This is a fabulous idea!!! knitspiration.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteOkay this is super gorgeous, but how many yards/metres of yarn should I use to complete this?
ReplyDelete@arwen I was wondering the same. Also what is size 12-14 equivalent to today. I would really like to make this but there is not enough info :(
ReplyDeleteMy experience has been that early vintage sizing (50s?) means a 12-14 is about a modern 0-2, and later vintage sizing (70s?)means a 7/8 is a modern 0/2. Again, that is just my experience finding vintage clothing and patterns in my personal size.
DeleteI just found this yarn on Ravelry.com . Apparently each ball contained 100 yards. That means that this pattern calls for 1500 yards of fingering weight yarn
